We took a little-known brand that leaned heavily on emojis and the colour pink as an identity and did a total transformation, grabbing the attention of budget-conscious Canadian travellers through cheeky copy, eye-catching design, and unique activations.

BEACH COUPON ACTIVATION
Time-sensitive offers are nothing new in the airline industry. So when Swoop wanted to promote a limited-time sale offering 60% off flights to Mexico we decided to do something different and enlisted the help of Mother Nature. Introducing: the world’s first tidal countdown timer. We streamed the event on Facebook, and invited people to take advantage of the deal. When the tide washed the coupon away the offer was over. The results? We saw an 80% increase in bookings over the two-hour period.

THE WARMEST HOODIE EVER - ACTIVATION
We needed to reach more millennials and let them know that Swoop has ultra-not-expensive flights to hot places. So, we created the Warmest Hoodie Ever, the first hoodie that doubled as a plane ticket to a beach destination helping young people escape winter in Canada. The Warmest Hoodie Ever sold out in just four hours. In the end, we reached 1 in 3 youngCanadians, letting them know that a cheap winter getaway is possible thanks to Swoop.

Gas prices skyrocketed during the summer of 2022 – a time when many people go on road trips. It got to the point where flying was often cheaper than driving long distances. We took advantage of the situation by buying billboards near gas stations, reaching people when they were hurting the most from high gas prices, and letting them know that flying Swoop was likely cheaper than hitting the road.
